hereinandyland: Spiral Bridge, Hastings, Minnesota (by AndyLand) This is the first of several before-and-after rephotography images I’ve created from scenes in the town where I live (Hastings, Minnesota). The spiral bridge was built in 1895—in the days of horses and buggies—and was torn down in 1951. It has become an icon in the town. The period image was taken in 1950 or 1951. The new one in 2005, from the same spot on the bridge that replaced the old one.
